Tsoi Huen Wong is a performer and maker whose work spans dance, theatre, and performance. Her practice centres around movement, with a particular interest in how these three languages inform her artistic identity. She draws inspiration from physical theatre, improvisation, and partnering work, making work via an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach.
Her creative journey began with training at Tang Shu-wing Theatre Studio’s Physical Theatre Institute in 2020/21. During that time, she performed with several Hong Kong-based physical/devised theatre companies, including Alice Theatre Laboratory, iStage, Riceballershk and Thoughtful Theatre.
She later relocated to Scotland, and pursued a BA in Contemporary Performance Practice at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she had the opportunity to undertake a placement with Curious Seed. She then transitioned into contemporary dance, deepening her practice further through Dance Base’s Dancers Emerging Bursary Scheme (DEBS) in 2024/25.
Since then, she has performed with various companies and individuals, such as Frantic Assembly, Hidden Door, Vamos Theatre, Tmesis Theatre, Abby Warrilow and Laura Walker.
